— Father Bruno Henjewele
Njombe lies in the South of Tanzania, where unemployment is extremely high and most people farm on a subsistence level. Parents pray and hope that by giving their children an education, they will break out of the cycle of poverty. However, they lack even the most basic needs and certainly cannot pay for clothing, food, health care or school fees. Many children are orphans of the AID’S epidemic, and find a home and education through Watoto Wetu. The Bishop of Njombe, is committed to improving the quality of life of all children in the area. Under his initiative, the Church has raised funds in the USA, Canada and Germany, to build boarding schools that provide total care for children from elementary through secondary school. Reforestation, self-help vegetable gardens and animal husbandry are also incorporated into this enterprise. Watoto Wetu, is committed to raise funds and provide technical input to support this worthy cause. ► The school name is Roma School For Boys in Njombe, Tanzania.
